Intrusion Alarm Systems – Installation Techniques and Best Practices

Intrusion alarm installations involve the execution of multiple tasks, from the wiring of controls and detectors to the installation and termination of cabling.  Each task requires the use of proper installation techniques and application of best practices to ensure the system, as a whole, will function as expected.

This course provides a detailed description of installation techniques, broken down by the task.  Specific techniques to be covered include mounting of controls, sensors, and auxiliary devices, cable installation, cable identification and labeling, joining and terminating cables, and “tricks: of the trade.
