2026 NEC Wiring Methods and Materials – Electrical

2026 NEC Wiring Methods and Materials is an overview of the requirements of the National Electrical Code, or NEC. The NEC is a code published by the National Fire Protection Association or NFPA, and is also known as NFPA 70. This course follows the evolutions performed during electrical installations and cites the codes and standards that govern them. Tasks performed will include: fundamentals and safety; installing boxes and enclosures; installing conduit and raceway; pulling wire and running cable; and requirements for equipment installation.

This course must also be completed with the NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace and Administrative Rules of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation courses for credit to be applied to your renewal

● Define the different types of materials discussed in the NEC articles presented in this module.
● Determine what uses are permitted or not for each type of material referenced in the NEC.
● Understand the use, installation, and construction specifications presented for each included article of the NEC.
