The course, An Expert Approach to Commercial Perimeter Detection provides an advanced overview of electronic perimeter detection for commercial facilities, including applications, design considerations and technologies. Protective measures may be extended beyond the building envelope to the property boundaries in the form of outdoor perimeter detection. The term “perimeter” in this context is defined as the three dimensional boundary of a business operation, whether it is contained in an independent structure or part of a larger, shared structure (office building, industrial park, mall, etc.). This is an advanced course intended for technical personnel with a general understanding of electronic security and some degree of field experience.

  • Develop an understanding of the design considerations that apply to each type of opening and barrier and the method of attack they might be subject to
