Professional Customer Service for Alarm Technicians

Professional Customer Service For Alarm Technicians is geared specifically toward the alarm technician building a working relationship with the customer. This course emphasizes that although technical expertise is critically important, it may not be enough when dealing with the customer. The student will learn that professionalism in customer interaction is a critical part of the alarm technician’s job. As individuals, we all like to be treated with respect, and at one point or another we are all customers to someone else. The student will learn how to deal with alarm customers who have been victimized, as well as how to deal with different types of character traits and moods, including angry customers. Learners will receive useful tips on dealing with a talkative or intrusive customer. They will acquire knowledge on how to effectively investigate an actual break-in, from determining if the alarm system functioned properly within its limitations to understanding the importance of documentation. Finally, we will take a look at the benefits of proper self-care and how that may be accomplished, including tips on dealing with procrastination and time management. The student will also be made aware of how maintaining good mental and physical health can positively affect the workday.
