On the Job Safety – Electrical

This course will address common on the job safety issues. It will include many, easy to remember “rules of thumb” for the safe operation of equipment common to the low voltage/security industry.  Falls, eye injuries and electrocution all incapacitate thousands of workers every year! Many of these painful and work stopping injuries can be avoided by the faithful use of simple and common sense safety rules. Proper safety equipment like safety glasses if worn and used correctly, can virtually eliminate injuries that could change your life!

This course is to be applied to an Electrical License renewal only.

Product Description / Course Objectives

Alarm and security technicians, salespeople, and managers completing this course should have a greater appreciation for on the job safety practices and the safe use of industry related tools. Students will learn safety rules and where they apply. Changing risky on the job behavior not only helps the technician who would suffer an injury but it will also save dollars for his or her employer. No one is immune to injury, so it is useful to retrain workers of all kinds, using graphic examples of the cost of negligence.
