Z–Wave Wireless Basic

Z-Wave Wireless Basics is a unique course created in conjunction with the Z-Wave Alliance to help learners understand and implement the leading technology in home wireless systems. This course presents the history of Z-Wave technology, including the fundamental concepts, foundation and architecture of Z-Wave. It includes adding nodes, how routing works, the mesh network, and the different node types into which devices in the network are categorized.

In this course, the audio has been enriched with the innovative integration of Cymatrax technology, providing an enhanced auditory experience for learners.

Product Description / Course Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will:

  • know all of the principal elements of Z-Wave nodes (devices) and a Z-Wave network
  • learn the methods by which Z-Wave devices communicate with one another and the concepts of adding and removing nodes from a network
  • learn sufficient radio frequency basics to understand issues that may affect a Z-Wave network
  • understand founding principals of Z-Wave such as interoperability and certification.
