Introduction to the ADA

In this two hour credit course, Introduction to the ADA we will review the basic elements of the Americans with Disabilities Act 36 CFR 1191.  Through a better understanding of the accommodation afforded within the ADA statute, the student will learn how to deal with the statutory requirements while performing their security-related profession in a satisfactory and accommodating fashion for disabled persons.

This course has been approved to provide the mandatory two hours of the Americans with Disabilities credits by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, New Jersey Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Committee for all security professionals initial applications and license renewals. Product Description / Course Objectives

After taking this two hour credit course, the student will understand the need for an even playing field for disabled persons and know the basics of how to accommodate them when performing their job in a public place.  By learning the history and elements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, specifically 36 CFR 1191, the student will come to appreciate why the statute has come to these conclusions and perform their job in a proper way according to the ADA requirements.
